I'm 3/4 way thru it and
IT IS FANTASTIC! The techno-teamwork script you wrote reaches
beyond Tom Clancy's early books! You da' man! I'm losing sleep to
keep up with this book! rich (Lockheed Aerospace Engineer)

The book is great! I
especially love the way you depict the terrorist -schmucks that they
are. For the most part, you were dead on. I wonder where a jet
jockey would get such insight on the A team?

A Direct Hit ! I can't put the book
down. Amazing detail, fast moving plot, and characters I feel I
have met before!! Scott puts us right in the thick of the War on
Terror,,, The F-15 cockpit, Tora Bora, Salang Pass, Frankfurt,,
you're there with the Heroes and the terrorist
cowards. Technical enough for the military readers,, mind
opening for us acronym challenged civilians. I cant wait for the
movie!!! Good Job Scott! C.C. Wilkins ll
- Hi Scott,

- Just finished reading Pale Moon Rising, and
really enjoyed it. The sense of being there in all phases of combat,
in the modern, high-tech environment, from the cockpit of a Strike
Eagle to crawling through the mud with the Spec Ops guys, is as
realistic as anything I've read. It really helps when the author
knows exactly what he's talking about. The characters are
believable, and by the end of the book you really care about them.
The last hundred pages is white-knuckle, can't put it down stuff.
And how it turns out is all-too-critical to our real situation in
the world. Great story, Gunny. Thanks. Steve

Scott, Joseph here. I’m one of the FNGs (orange flight suit)
band that played at Bourland Field Estates during the filming of
the Wings To Adventure segment. One of the best things I did
was buy an autographed copy. Thank you for the killer ride PMR
took me on!
To say I was riveted is a gross understatement. The only bad
thing about the story is it ended. Hmmm…sequel? PMR hit all
marks: great story, real-time relevance, technical,
suspenseful, character development and hit ‘em where it hurts in
the nick of time stuff. I vicariously experienced the sensation
of time compression in the final pages. I let out a “Whew!” at
the end.
- Hi Gunny,
I finished your book this weekend. Wow!
Fantastic finish! You are truly a man of many talents! I started on
Chapter 4 on Friday and couldn't stop until I had read all of it.

Hi
Scott, How are you? I thought I would let you know that I got
the chance to read your book 'Pale Moon Rising' whilst on
holiday recently and I throughtly enjoyed it. It was a good mix
of story line and technical aeroplane stuff that I find very
interesting. Are you writing any more books? Could this be the
new Tom Clancy.............................. Best Regards
Nick, UK

Gunny, Just finished your book and found it to
be right up there with Dale Brown or W.E.B. Griffin. I just got
home from the Abbotsford Airshow. Greg took the P-51 up and Bill
took the Skyraider. Anyway, I can't wait to read your next one.
See you when you come up to BLI. J.R., WA

Steve
de Wolf, Thank you for introducing me to Scott Perdue by letter
and thank you for sending me a copy of his book, Pale Moon
Rising. I have already begun reading his book, and I am
thoroughly enjoying it….it truly speaks my language and touches
my inner self. Actually, I finished the book this morning at 2
AM….I could not put it down! Steve Dean Gilmer, TX

Yo Gunny.
How's it going buddy? Well I finally got to finish PMR. I
basically wanted to state this in the book. Words cannot express my
true thanks and appreciation for the wild "edge of the seat" ride
that I recently took part in by reading PMR. I was extremely
impressed with the book and as stated by others it is extremely
compelling reading and incredibly hard to put down especially the
last few chapters of the book. To say that it runs hotter than a
PW229 in Zone V would be a gross understatement!! It's also way cool
to see that own "British Yanks" were heavily involved in the plot.
Man, if you fly and fight as well as you plot and write, then god
help the bad guys!! If your next one is half as good as PMR then
Messrs Dale Brown, Stephen Coonts and Tom Clancy had better batten
down the hatches because they have got serious competition inbound!!
Take care and CHECK SIX bro, With Very Best Regards, Dave Bargh, UK

putting the words together so Jennifer Goode and the others can tell
their story - Well Done!

- "Pale Moon Rising weaves together the
complexities of USAF fighter operations, the CIA, and Army Special
Forces in a way no one else has done before. Scott puts you, the
reader, right there with the action. Pale Moon Rising might be
fiction, but it tells the story how our warriors are actually
fighting the on-going war on terrorism. If you only read one book
this year, read this one. I honestly believe this book could pass
for non-fiction. It is that real." Larry Huggins, Brigadier General

- I'm back in the cockpit with Gunny's Pale Moon Rising. It is the
definitive book for the Air War on Terror. Pale Moon Rising is to
the War on Terror like Coont's "Flight of the Intruder" is for the
Vietnam War. I was right there every step of the way! Bruce Johnson,
USAF LtCol Retired/ A-7/F-16 and Boeing 767 pilot
- Scott Perdue has put together an absolutely gripping thriller
that is highly realistic. His grasp of the big picture and the
details of modern Air Force warfare is superb, as it should be given
his background, and he communicates it well in the context of a
story with characters that we care about. I enjoyed it immensely and
read it every spare moment that I had available. Scott Dyer, Lawyer,

-Here are some Strike Eagle
pics from UK Fan Dave Bargh. Most are from his collection over time... a
lot of the fighter shots came from Low Levels in Wales (where the
photographers can get above the jets). Apologies to the actual
photographers... credited where I can, the others I don't know
your names... but your work is fantastic! Thanks, Dave!
